Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Analyzing complex tasks, development of solution concepts and creation of product specifications in the field of servo drive hardware
  • Development of power electronic circuit parts and components for power supplies and servo inverters
  • Evaluating new circuit concepts and components using computational tools and simulation tools
  • Dimensioning of power electronics components taking into account the thermal concept in connection with mechanical components (heat sink, housing parts)
  • Development and commissioning of power boards
  • Creating PCB layouts for power boards
  • Creating schematic designs according to international regulations
  • Developing, evaluating and implementing EMC concepts in compliance with EMC guidelines for robust design
  • Circuit design and product design considering FMEDA and FMEA analysis
  • Supporting product verification by defining verification tests and assessing test results
  • Creating test criteria and test specifications for validation and production
  • Creating product-relevant development and production documentation

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Higher Degree (Technical University) in Computer Science, Automation or related discipline
  • Professional experience in the field of hardware development of electric drive technology
  • Experience in using circuit design and layout tools (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro)
  • Experience in using simulation tools (Spice, Simplorer, Plecs, Matlab / Simulink, etc.)
  • Experience in the development, maintenance and verification of digital and analog circuits
  • Good system overview and knowledge of servo drive technology, power electronics, control engineering and measuring technology
  • Experience with functional safety according to IEC 61508 / ISO 13849
  • Ability to analyze complex tasks and develop solutions
  • Teamwork and enjoyment of working in international teams
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
