My Engineering Story: Milica, Application Software Engineer

Through constant work and commitment, I pushed my limits and confirmed my decision for my future profession!

Belgrade, February 18th, 2023

Ever since I was a child with my dad, an electrical engineer, I was a little inventor and researcher, always interested in how the machines he made worked and functioned. I believe that this developed my love for natural sciences, which later led to enrollment in undergraduate and master studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade. 👩🏻‍💻

Through constant work and commitment, I pushed my limits and confirmed my decision for my future profession. When I look back and think about whether I would change something in my schooling and decisions, I would make the same choice again. 🚀

In the field of Signals and Systems, I gained knowledge in industrial automation, robotics and signal processing, which I applied in my final thesis, which was a practical application with a robot.
I found the ideal combination of programming and industry at Avisto, where I work as an Application Software Engineer. Working with new technologies and equipment, constant learning and improvement motivate a young engineer to be even better. 🎯

Twenty years later, I understand how those childhood machines work, and now I work on developing and improving them at the Avisto company. I can tell my dad that we are colleagues now! 😊
